MUSEUMS AND MONUMENTS

Normally museums, churches and archaeological sites are open every day in the morning, except for Monday - though many sites are also open in the afternoon.

OPENING HOURS

Generally, shops, boutiques and the department stores are open from 8am to 9pm. In the summer these hours may be extended.
Banks and post offices are open between 7am and 7pm, Saturday till 1p.m, closed on Sunday.

HOW TO PAY

The basic Macedonian currency unit is DENAR. There are few ATM in the center of Ohrid. Many shops still prefer cash payment.

NIGHT LIFE

The nightlife is concentrated at the center and the old part of the town, and in the peak of the summer most of the cafes, nightclubs and discotheques stay active until small hours.
