In cooperation with the public hunting enterprise "Karaorman" we have prepared a special offer for this kind of tourism, considering that Ohrid region has ideal terms for hunting.
The hunting area "Karaorman" covers a total area of 14.076ha, located in the Ohrid- Prespa hunting region.It is located at the slopes of the mountains Karaorman and Slavej Planina, just about half an our from Ohrid.The area is heavily covered with oak forests (7.821 ha ),meadows ( 1.751 ha ), plowed fields ( 1.803 ha ), rivers and chanals ( 17 ha ) lakes and accumulations (1.243 ha ). Non hunting area covers 1.441 ha.
The animal stock includes red deer, fallow deer, roe, mouflon, chamois, wild boars and bears. In lower parts of the hunting sites, along the river basins, various types of hens partridges, turtledove, quails, and pheasants and large numbers of rabbits can be found.
Usually the hunting is conducted from the mountain summits from these trails, again accounting for a relatively easy hunt. The trophy quality in this area is high and the average trophy scores 100 CIC points. Good quality jeeps will take you nearly all the way to the top, and You will be accompanied by English speaking hunters who will attend to every detail. .
The rates are nearly all-inclusive from arrival in Ohrid, Macedonia on a 4-day stay with 3 days of hunting. The best hunting time is from September 1 through November until the end of December.
Accommodations are in a modern lodge with modern comforts and conveniences. Fine food is served and the wine from this area is superb.
